Training your ear to process real world French promotes huge long term growth.

Of the four Linguistic disciplines (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension), it is comprehension that arrives last and presents the greatest challenge.

It is also the most important since speaking is of limited use without understanding the return information.

Getting There

	The other sections of this program provide a super-charged environment for accelerated learning. Here's how to use them:

	1.	Run through the phrases in the categories listed at the top left (Expressions, etc.) These will give you tips and shortcuts that would normally take years to acquire.

	2.	While completing Item 1 build and review your Focus List with frequency.

	3.	Visit the In-Depth Study sections as needed to cover grammar and other important concepts.

	With 10-15 hours of study you will be ready to begin working on this tab and pass a major milestone.

Vocabulary: Build your Focus List to 50 words and successfully test-out on the Test Focus page.

Comprehension:   Checkmark the following items and test-out.
         a. All the items in the Expressions category.
         b. The first 5 items in the Basics category.
         c. The first 5 items in the In-Depth section.

Numbers:   Master the numbers 1-20 and successfully test-out.
Level 1 can be reached within 2 weeks and is a massive first step.

A third of the elements of sentence construction have been covered, and another third have been introduced.

To support this growth, vocabulary building is underway and mastery of the full range of numbers is within reach. Already students are able to communicate simple questions and statements.

At this point an extremely solid start to learning French is complete. This knowledge is continually refreshed while tracking toward Level 2.
Before reaching Level 1 your ability to remember the textual form of French will be more attuned than your ability to remember the audial, more primal form of language.

As you begin working toward Level 2 however, your audial skills become more finely tuned and progress accelerates.
